Four Labor Induction Risks with Normal Childbirth

Labor induction could be done if your baby in the womb is too old and have exceeded the normal time limit for born. In addition, the induction was also performed to ensure the safety of infants and mothers. Usually labor induction is done by cesarean section. But you also can give birth to babies with normal manner, although such labor induction has a lot of risk, namely:

  1. You will experience excessive uterine contractions and therefore, induction should be conducted under the supervision of obstetricians. One mistake would be fatal to the baby and mother. If you can’t stand with the pain then doctor may stop the process of induction and will soon perform a Caesarean section to ensure the safety of mother and baby.
  2. Baby will feel uncomfortable and distracted even get stress. Therefore, before and during induction, the doctor will check constantly about the baby’s condition through Cardiotopografi (CTG). If deemed too dangerous and risky, the induction process will be stopped.
  3. If you have ever given birth by Caesarean section delivery and wants a normal childbirth, induction of labor has an opportunity to rip the stitches Caesarean section that used in childbirth previous.
  4. There is a chance occurrence of embolism. Embolism can occur if the amniotic fluid rupture and enter the bloodstream, and then came in and stuck in the brain and lungs. Although the possibility of embolism is very small but this could endanger the safety of the mother.

That is some risk of induction with normal childbirth. Therefore, if you ever give birth by Caesarean section, do not select normal delivery with induction because it has a dangerous risk.
